Gerling Quarters, Cologne, Germany (Spring 2014)
The Gerling Quarters‘ architectural style is somewhat reminiscent of old Cold War era buildings which were hidden behind the iron curtain which makes for a somewhat anachronistic impression with its bulky concrete design. Currently it’s empty and being re-purposed for office spaces thus the waterfalls at the sides are no longer functional but the facade still makes for an impressive sight.
